In times of outer change and inner movement, it is easy to lose touch with the place within us that is still, safe, and whole. As personal and collective stress levels rise, so does the longing to land — to simply be. A week in silence during a Vipassanā (Insight Meditation) retreat offers the opportunity to restore balance and remember what truly matters. Through stillness, mindfulness, and kindness, we recalibrate body, heart, and mind — so we can return home with renewed energy, clarity, and ease.
The Five Strengths – Confidence, Effort, Mindfulness, Concentration & Discernment
During this retreat, we will explore the classical Buddhist teaching of the five strengths (or five powers): confidence, effort, mindfulness, concentration, and discernment. These five inner qualities can be cultivated and balanced to deepen meditation practice — and help us live in greater harmony, with more ease, courage, and joy in everyday life.
The retreat structure includes guided meditations with daily Q&A, alternating periods of silent sitting and walking meditation, rest, mindful eating, Dharma talks, and small group meetings with Celeste. In addition, Celeste and Viveka will offer gentle yoga and mindful movement practices, accessible to all bodies and levels of experience.
At Can Vital, surrounded by the Catalonian mountain landscape, together we create a safe and beautiful space for deep restoration. During the week, we nourish body, heart, and mind through the ancient practices of insight meditation, gentle yoga, and resting in presence.
We let go of phones and to-do lists, allowing the breath, movement, and silence to guide us back to the rhythm of life. The mind is cleansed, the body strengthened through daily yoga and nourishing (mostly) vegan food, and the heart gently opens.
This retreat is an invitation to remember — that stillness is already here, and that you are at home within yourself. Together, Celeste and Viveka weave stillness, mindful awareness, movement, and the practice of the heart into a living whole.
