Join next retreat with space available: Wise Intention in the New Year

Give yourself the gift of an entire day spent practicing mindfulness and lovingkindness and deepen your practice within community.

In this daylong retreat we’ll explore the Buddha's teachings on boundless love- in particular the teachings of Metta and Compassion.

As the mind is liberated through our meditation practice, so too the heart is freed and can dwell in more peaceful "abodes" known as the "Brahma Viharas" or "Divine Abodes". We will explore practicing with traditional meditations to cultivate the first two Brahma Viharas of lovingkindness and compassion for greater balance and ease in our meditation practice as well as in daily life.

The day will unfold with some guided meditations and silent sitting (or stationary) practice as well as walking meditation (or movement). There will be a Dharma talk, time for mindful eating and enjoying the nature surrounding us in the canyon as well as time for resting the heart, body, and mind all within the container of a silent retreat.

Towards the end of the day there will also be an opportunity to connect with community through mindful speaking and listening practice.

Space is limited, advance registration is encouraged.
