Join us in gorgeous Tulum, Mexico, to live the wisdom of meditation and ayurveda.

March 14th - 18th, 2019 with Celeste Young and Ayurvedic practitioner Julie Bernier

Inner transformations happen when we make meditation and ayurveda part of our daily life. We call this daily practice a sadhana, and this retreat is all about building (or expanding) a sadhana of your own. Sadhana gives us a sense of purpose, and most importantly, it awakens our spirituality and changes the quality of our life. Daily practice has been transformational for each of us, and we can’t wait to share it’s power with you and help you develop your own personal practice you can take home from retreat life.

This retreat provides a unique opportunity to slow down and connect with yourself on a deeper level. We’ve designed our time together to be in line with ayurvedic principles and the traditional wisdom of the Insight meditation tradition so that you can experience what it’s like to live a life of balance. Your body and mind will feel nurtured and nourished, not only from the ayurvedically-aligned, high prana meals, but from re-aligning yourself with nature’s rhythms and spending time in community.

Whether you’re coming to this retreat as a complete beginner or with previous knowledge of ayurveda or meditation, you’ll find that the two traditions together offer us a very powerful mindful lifestyle — one that can awaken deep wellbeing and growth. Men, women, and all experience levels welcome. This retreat is designed to be accessible and welcoming to all.

Tulum is an energetically powerful place, where the prana, or life force, is palpable: the air is clean, the green and the blues of nature are vivid, the sun and moon are clear and potent, and the ocean is cleansing and restorative. The line between indoors and outdoors is blurred — you can say goodbye to your shoes for a few days. This return to nature is our true nature, and it makes us feel alive and reenergized. Plus, Tulum is off the grid: cell phones don’t work, wifi is spotty, and there’s no AC. This is a chance to put technology on pause and connect by disconnecting.

You’ll still have plenty of creature comforts — we’re staying at the chic and tranquil boutique hotel Casa Violeta. It’s right on the beach, tucked between the magical sea and the peaceful jungle. At night you’ll fall asleep to the sounds of the Caribbean Sea.

Tulum has a tropical climate with wonderfully warm days and nights. Rooms at Casa Violeta are cooled by fans, so we recommend booking an ocean view room if you find heat a challenge at night.
